Solar Eclipse 2023

There will be a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, visible from parts of North America, including Mexico, the United States, and Canada. However, there will not be a total solar eclipse in 2023. The next partial solar eclipse will occur on October 25, 2023, but it will not be visible from most of North America.

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, blocking out some or all of the sun's light. If the moon completely covers the sun, it is known as a total solar eclipse. If only part of the sun is covered, it is known as a partial solar eclipse.

The next total solar eclipse after the one in 2024 will occur on August 12, 2026, and it will be visible from parts of the Arctic, Greenland, and Iceland. The next partial solar eclipse after the one on October 25, 2023, will occur on March 20, 2024, and it will be visible from parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa.

It's important to remember that looking directly at the sun during an eclipse can be dangerous and can cause permanent eye damage or blindness. Special solar filters or eclipse glasses should be used to view an eclipse safely.
